Doing your regular checks of cervical screening and Breast examination is one of the best gifts you can give to yourself. Cancer is a killer and “early detection” is KEY. When I got the awareness from Dr Laide Omotosho-Ikuru (of Health Kinect Clinic)… I swung into action immediately advocating that parents at my daughter’s schools get screened and the girls get immunized from the HPV virus. I was the PTA chairperson at the time; it was all going well until i finally did my own screening which I kept delaying as I wanted the women to all benefit. The doctor told me I had to do a procedure (Cyrotheraphy) on my cervix to get it in proper form, I was thankful I did my screening as it created the importance and relevance of not taking our health for granted.
